Our client based in Old Trafford is currently looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis. The role will involve the shared responsibility of sales ledger, completing sales orders, creating invoices and sending to customers, purchase ledger, and supporting with credit control.
Main Duties
- Process and prepare financial and business forms for the purpose of checking account balances, facilitating purchases, etc.
- Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the finance director
- Help oversee and manage individual accounts
- Create, send, and follow up on invoices
- Review and adhere to department budgets
- Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets
- Review and audit financial statements and reports, ensure all calculations and data entries are correct
- Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and/or clients
- Collect information for and prepare payroll payments for employees
- Assist the Finance Manager in creating financial reports on a regular basis
- Answers question and provide assistance to stakeholders, customers, and clients as needed
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years of Sage 50 experience or similar. AAT L2 in book-keeping would be an advantage, however, the client would consider sponsoring the successful candidate through their AAT.

Desirable experience
- Degree in Finance and Accounting or equivalent
- AAT L2 in book-keeping (not essential)
- CIMA or ACCA or AAT Student (Study Support Available)
Salary: £21,000 - £22,000
9am - 5pm Mon - Fri (1 Day per week working from home, the rest office based)
