Our client based in Trafford Park is currently looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Administrator on a permanent basis...

  • Recording company costs accurately and in a timely manner. Handling the 3 different flows (PO, freight, general) including coding and any required approvals.
  • Management and control of company payments within the framework of the company’s internal procedures after ensuring the correct authorisation is received for all payments as per the company’s policies and practices.
  • Maintenance and review of the payable’s ledgers monthly.
  • Ensure suppliers are paid accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Accurately maintaining supplier master data.
  • Dealing with supplier queries and driving them to resolution
  • Ensure filing is up to date and easily retrievable.
  • Month End responsibilities to be delivered in accordance with the month-end timetable
  • Ensure all invoices are posted for the month.
  • Supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Debit balances are investigated and resolved.
  • Cover for Finance colleagues’ roles as and when required.
  • Provide ad hoc information and support when requested throughout the year.
  • Process reviews to improve the efficiency of the tasks within AP
  • Prepare monthly and ad hoc reporting documents for Finance colleagues in accordance with the Reporting Timetable.
  • Assist with Accounts Payable and other audit requests.

Requirements:-

  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of work experience within an Accounts Payable role.
  • Experience of working within a large international corporation would be ideal (Experience of high volume) 
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and proactive, and time management skills are essential.
  • Assisted in process improvements / implementing new processes
  • Exposure to multiple currencies would be an advantage.
  • IT literate and experience in different ERP systems (SAP) would be an advantage.
  • Good communication skills: verbal and written.
  • Must be able to work independently and possess a sense of urgency.
  • Working within a small team must be capable of building effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • GCSE grades in Maths and English, or equivalent.

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week Mon - Fri (Flexibility with start & Finish times - can start between 7.30 am - 10 am)

Hybrid Working: 3 days in the office, 2 days at home (Trafford Park)

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
