Finance Analyst / Accountant (Contract / Part-Time)

Location: Manchester (Remote or hybrid) 
Contract Duration: Until at least March 2026 (with possible extension)
Hours: 20 hours per week 
Rate: £25 - £30 p/hr (Negotiable depending on experience) (Paid Weekly)

Start Date: ASAP

About the Role:
We’re looking for a part-time Finance Analyst / Accountant to support post-acquisition payroll processing. You’ll work closely with the global accounting team to ensure accurate payroll accounting, reconciliations, and audit compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile payroll accounting files to the correct GL accounts and entities
  • Prepare payroll journals for SAP posting
  • Input payroll elements into balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with accounting treatment of credit/debit memos post-payroll
  • Reconcile ER tax costs for intercompany recharges
  • Review other capital accounts and calculate tax journals related to the transaction
  • Prepare full audit backup files for Internal Audit

Skills & Experience:

  • Payroll Finance background or a Qualified accountant
  • Experience with payroll finance/accounting reconciliation
  • Comfort with journals, GL postings, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ability to handle technical accounting tasks (like credit/debit memos and tax recharges)
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle technical accounting tasks
  • Ability to work independently and manage reconciliations and reporting
