Our client a manufacturer, distributor, and brand owner in the FMCG industry operating in and around Trafford Park is looking to recruit a Head of International Sales on a permanent basis. The business traded resiliently throughout COVID and, in spite of the fact the business operates predominantly in consumer goods, is confident of its outlook even in the face of a potential looming recession.  

This is a new role, driven by the success of our core product categories in the UK, creating an exciting opportunity for a highly driven and highly experienced international salesperson to join our team, and the chance to take ownership of a very exciting expansion plan.

We are looking for someone with proven international sales experience to lead and drive our expansion into international markets. Key aspects of the role will be developing an international customer base, promoting our product categories, launching our UK Business to Business e-commerce platform internationally, identifying new opportunities, and critically, creating a stable distribution network and office to effectively serve those customers.

Required competencies:

The right candidate will have experience in a similar role, working within an international sales market, and will have been involved in the expansion of consumer goods products into international markets.

  • A proven track record of expanding consumer goods products into international markets.
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ business-to-business international development experience.
  • Knowledge of distribution network setup and eCommerce platforms.
  • Existing relationships and contacts within the industry are desirable but not essential.

40 hours per week, flexible due to travel.

PackageSalary £75,000 plus commission + company car 

Holidays: 25 days + Bank holidays

Benefits: Death in service x2 salary
