HR Specialist – Part-Time (30 hours per week)

Are you looking for a Part-Time HR Specialist / Manager role? Are you available to cover Maternity leave on a fixed-term contract from July 2022.  We would be delighted to hear from you!

We are looking for an HR generalist to cover all of the UK HR Activities for our client. Providing support to managers and employees and managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
  • Provide ER advice on HR policies and guidelines to managers and employees
  • Payroll administration including tax year-end requirements and assisting with audits
  • Manage the recruitment process alongside managers from advertisement to interviewing, hiring, and induction
  • Ensure all required training is arranged as necessary
  • Manage company-provided benefits, pension, and insurance schemes
  • Administer health programs including occupation health and eyecare voucher scheme
  • Record and monitor sickness, maternity, paternity, and other absences
  • Involvement with employee relations meetings as necessary, ensuring matters are managed in line with policies
  • Ensure all employee data is recorded correctly on the HR database and within personnel files adhering to GDPR
  • Manage contracts for company workwear, cleaners, data shredding, water coolers, mobile phones, and printers
  • Approve supplier payments, invoices, and expenses
  • Line management of Receptionist and cover of reception duties as required

Experience and Expertise:

  • Previous experience in a similar HR generalist role
  • CIPD qualified
  • Up to date knowledge of UK employment law
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Approachable, flexible and has strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel. Sage and SAP Success Factors would be an advantage
