Our client based in Bolton is looking to recruit a Merchandiser on a permanent basis..

  • Support the effectiveness of Production Critical path strategies – working very closely with the Production Manager and Head of Menswear for direction.
  • Daily communication with the warehouse preparing for deliveries 
  • Have an analytical and logical mindset to arrange clear plans/reports
  • Prioritise various projects with attention to detail
  • Planning: Work with the product team to develop a basic production planning schedule for all styles.
  • Prepare & present sales reports for weekly Trading meetings
  • Monitoring best and worst sellers list & week’s cover – reporting back to the management team.
  • Investigate size ratios of product bought vs. product sold to improve the efficiency of future orders.
  • Identify re-buys of best-selling styles balanced with suggesting sales promotions on any overstocked or slow-selling product. Prepare POs for re-buys. Suggest styles that should be part of a “NOOS” (never out of stock program)
  • Separate footwear sales reports and monitor returns. Prepare a footwear summary report to be discussed with Directors.
  • New launches/promotions. Supporting the business to meet planned launch dates and advising on control and movement of stock.
  • Monitor sales by region both Internationally and within the UK.
  • Update the sample tracker report accurately on a regular basis.
  • Work with Production Manager and Directors on target margins for both retail and wholesale. Contribute to any future budget discussions
  • Align reporting systems with a fulfillment company.
  • Help personalise “Rebound” returns reports to maximum effect for the business. Help re-monitoring returns.
  • Prepare any competitor or retail reports, when requested.
  • Review any markdowns or sales promotions (such as vault sales)
  • Help with future Black Friday strategy.
  • Independently plan and organise allocated workload.
  • Assist Production Manager, when required
  • Be confident that the current supply base is compliant and transparent
  • Awareness of all factory shipment dates.

  • Experience working with e-commerce/ retail or apparel brands in a similar merchandising role.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving

  • Strong commercial awareness with an ability to identify risk and confidently provide solutions
  • Hands-on approach.
  • Takes responsibility to update sample update reports
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment
  • Has the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Able to multi-task and manage priorities

Experience:

  • 1-2 years’ retail merchandising experience.
  • Strong Excel skills

  • Strong organizational skills
