We are looking for an experienced Operations Technician to join our client a successful manufacturer based in Trafford Park. Your role will be to ensure that all products are manufactured and produced within the quality procedures and to the appropriate manufacturing instructions following health and safety guidelines and reporting any incidents or non-conformances.
Responsibilities:
- Manufacture chemical blends, monitoring and follow working procedures to ensure products and produced to the agreed specifications and standards
- Adhere to quality, environmental and health, and safety procedures as laid down in the Process Instructions
- Process all work on time where possible
- Ensure continuous production is maintained where possible
- Pay full attention to detail to always ensure accuracy, limiting the chance of any errors in production
- Meet demands when required and act in accordance with priorities to ensure production schedules are met
- Operate the plant and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, working to company health and safety procedures to avoid any accidents or incidents
- Work under limited supervision and using own initiative, questioning activities where necessary to identify and implement improvements
- Keep work area free from accumulation of waste materials unnecessary equipment to avoid any potential safety risks
- Report all unsafe acts, near misses, and incidents to the Plant Manager efficiently to allow appropriate investigation and remedial actions to take place without delay
- Provide cover in other operations areas as required including the “filling operative” role and warehouse
Skills and Expertise:
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of basic Processing Plant and machinery within a chemical industry
- Fully licensed FLT Counter Balance and Reach Truck
- Understanding of Health and Safety at work
- Good working practices
Hours 7.30 am - 3.30 pm
