We are looking to recruit an experienced Part-Time Book-Keeper to work 3 days per week (flexible hours) for our client based in Altrincham.  The role is to keep a track of company income and expenditure, liaising with the Company Accountants, in order to ensure there is an accurate trail of all the posting when it comes to producing statutory accounts.

Responsibilities: -

  • Report on financial processes, enhancing and updating where needed
  • Management of sales ledger
  • Maintaining accounts, verifying and posting transactions
  • Balancing accounts on a week-to-week basis
  • Managing client invoices and payment
  • Company expenses management
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and bank contacts
  • Working closely with accountants to prepare VAT returns
  • Preparing schedules, statement and reports as requested
  • Managing and filing relevant documentation

Skills: -

  • Working knowledge of Xero essential
  • Knowledge of Excel or other spreadsheets
  • Posses relevant NVQ/SVQ qualifications or specialist qualifications such as AAT
  • Ability to work quickly, accurately and to deadlines, using a logical and methodical approach
  • Highly computer literate with experience of accounting packages
  • Excellent communication skills, including relationship building with individuals inside and outside of the business
  • Solid organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Strong Book-Keeping skills and previous experience in a similar role
  • Possess first-rate numerical skills
  • Honest, discreet and trustworthy
