We are looking for an Entrepreneurial & Dynamic hands-on Procurement Manager to head up a Health & Wellness procurement function. You will spearhead the purchasing & stock control process from creating and managing an efficient forecast & demand planning function to selecting suppliers and taking ownership of the sourcing and procurement process.

As Procurement Manager, you will be a supply chain expert who will specialise in implementing cost-effective purchases of all goods, across Raw materials such as dry commodities for blending, packaging, and finished goods, as required by the company. With such a complex mix of products and shelf life, strict control of goods held in stock will be key. It is a cross-functional role, and we are looking for someone with experience in buying, demand planning, and the ability to take on and own the complex flow of materials.


Desirable experience:

  • Creating and operating analysis and planning tools
  • Procurement roles within food manufacturing operations
  • Demand planning roles within the FMCG industry

Procurement Manager Responsibilities:

  • Develop the existing procurement strategy with a focus on longer-term demand-driven planning to prevent overstock / last-minute understock.
  • Work with the NPD team to source and engage, dependable suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Owning the “Stock control process” promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
  • Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
  • Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities e.g., Distressed stock
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
  • Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management.
  • Conduct regular forecast maintenance.
  • Oversee & manage the systems & tools that track demand, inventory, and the supply of goods.

Procurement Manager Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing supply chain operations – preferable in a Food Production or FMCG environments
  • Management and leadership skills
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
