We are looking for an experienced Production / Machine Operative for our client based in Altrincham. This will initially be on a temporary basis to start ASAP
Working in a busy environment as part of the Production team, using various machines to perform the required tasks Including Machining, Assembling and Inspection.
To provide cover in the manufacturing areas where required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the operation, loading and unloading the material and parts, proving programs, operating controls, setting offsets, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.
- Study and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations, and set up requirements.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in a manufacturing workshop environment
- Experience in assembling machined parts
- Manual handling experience
Preferable
- Operation of machinery Inc. Drills, Band saws, Hydraulic presses, waterjet Machines
- 1 – 2 years ‘hands-on’ experience in a small production team.
- Previous engineering experience
- Counterbalance forklift (if not training will be provided)
Hours of work
- 39 per week – Monday – Thursday 7.30 am - 4.30 pm Friday 7.30 am – 12:30 pm
£10.87 per hour
