Halecroft Recruitment is searching for a Field Service Engineer to join our client on a permanent basis.

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for visiting clients’ sites for installation/upgrades/maintenance and equipment inspections throughout the UK with the standard weekly working hours being 40 hours, but the role may involve overtime. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will ideally live in the North-East/Scotland.

The successful candidate should have the following requirements and responsibilities:

  • Experience in PLC control systems is desirable but not essential.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work alone or part of a team.
  • A background in a workshop environment would be desirable.
  • A working knowledge of Shot Blast Equipment would be an advantage.
  • Capability to examine blast equipment of any manufacturer and provide an accurate written assessment.
  • Good mechanical engineering skills.
  • Able to use hand and powered tools.
  • Able to read engineering drawings.
  • MMA welding including hard metals (manganese).
  • MEWP licence (scissor lift, cherry picker etc) and FLT licence.
  • Basic knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel).
  • Flexible to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work unsociable hours.
  • Ability to work away from home and overseas as required.
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal staff and customers.
  • Able to efficiently plan and manage working hours.
