Career Coaching and Redundancy Support
Welcome to Halecroft Career Coaching and Redundancy Support.
Providing career guidance, outplacement support and emotional and practical advice after redundancy has been part of our service at Halecroft for many years. After the challenges 2020 presented us with, we’ve seen first-hand the impact this can have. More of you than ever are experiencing career challenges, facing the prospect of redundancy or you’re looking for more meaning and fulfilment in your job.
Our Career Coaching and Redundancy Support has been in demand more than ever, so it made perfect sense for us to respond to your needs and our strengths, by officially setting up this new, more structured offering.
What is Career Coaching?
This is a great question. Not everyone knows what to expect from career coaching. Surely that’s just what recruiters do? Plus, if you’re anything like us, you often have that inner voice in your head telling you that ‘as a grown-up, you should know what you want to do with your life’. Ouch! Those inner critics can be harsh.
If you’re facing redundancy as part of this career crossroads, self-critical talk is far from helpful. That’s where we come in.
Career coaching gives you a safe space to explore the possibilities. It gives you objective support, challenges your thinking and, the best part, it’s totally impartial. However well-meaning our friends and families are, they will always have an opinion or agenda for you.
Independent support from a career coach gives you the chance to explore three key areas
- What you’re passionate about
- What you’re good at
- What you can make money doing
Together, we find the cross-section of these three areas. That’s where we focus our energy so you can find not just any job but the right job. A job that gives you fulfilment, where you feel valued, and that is financially sustainable.
What does Career Coaching involve?
The Halecroft Career Coaching and Redundancy programme gives you personal support while equipping you with the best possible tools, techniques, and resources to secure your next role.
We’ll pick through the practicalities and emotional side of redundancy (if that’s your situation) before diving into one-to-one coaching and mentoring support. All the support is offered virtually – through online tools and video calls.
It’s a 5-step programme, so you’ll be able to see the progress we’ve made together clearly. Be prepared though, a lot of the onus and thought process is down to you. As with most things, the more you put into this process, the more you will get out of it!
Career coaching isn’t a quick fix. We don’t wave a magic wand and you’re suddenly in your dream job (we wish it were that simple!). But, what you will find is that our experienced coaches help you reach clarity and insight into your situation and around what you need to do next. You will also receive encouragement and inspiration whilst helping you manage any anxiety you might have around change and challenge.
