We are recruiting a Senior Accounting and Tax Manager, this is a newly created role for a successful and growing organisation in Dublin; however, this role can be operational from Cheshire, Essex or Aberdeen with occasional Travel to Dublin. 

As Senior Accounting and Tax Manager, you will report directly to the Finance Director for the IE/UK region.  Your role will primarily be responsible for corporate tax compliance and planning and certain elements of statutory financial reporting (particularly new reporting developments and including TCFD/CSRD for the region.  In addition, you will contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes in this capacity as well as providing support to project and acquisition activities.  The business has ambitious growth plans and is now looking for a talented, self-driven, knowledge-hungry, and ambitious individual to help it deliver its strategy in a compliant and controlled fashion.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Tax Compliance and Administration
  • Tax Planning and Application of Pillar 1 and 2 Rules
  • Year-End Closing Process (Group Reporting)
  • Year-end Statutory Reporting
  • TCFD/CSRD Implementation

Other

  • Support the Finance Director and Business Development team in assessing acquisition/project opportunities
  • Provide support generally to the Finance Director and the entire Finance team as needed
  • Provide tax documentation to the Group to support Group tax planning initiatives

Experience & Expertise Required:

  • Qualified for a minimum of 10 years in ACA, CIMA, or ACCA
  • Degree education (BA, B.Sc.) is essential
  • A diploma in tax is desirable
  • Experience in Finance function in a multi-national environment is essential with at least 3 years at Management level
  • Experience preparing UK corporate tax returns and analysing tax scenarios is essential
  • Experience or training in TCFD or CSRD is highly desirable
  • SAP experience is desirable
  • Detail oriented and well organised; able to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
  • Shares knowledge for team effectiveness and efficiencies
  • Driven to build robust processes and keep things simple
  • Self-starter but knows when to consult with others
  • Clear communicator
  • Strong UK corporate tax knowledge particularly in the areas of Capital Cost Allowances for Construction projects, transfer pricing issues, utilization of losses
