We are seeking an experienced and motivated FCA Compliance & Claims Manager to join our client's growing team in Altrincham. This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance and claims professional to take ownership of regulatory oversight and manage the end-to-end claims process within a dynamic, expanding organisation.
This role combines claims management and FCA compliance leadership, supporting the business as it continues to develop its regulatory framework and strengthen its compliance structure.
Key Responsibilities
Claims Management
- Manage the full lifecycle of claims, from initial notification through to investigation, decision, and resolution.
- Interpret insurance policies and clearly explain terms and conditions to customers.
- Assess claims against policy wording and supporting documentation to determine liability and settlement.
- Maintain clear and accurate claims records and ensure all cases are handled efficiently and professionally.
- Identify opportunities to improve claims processes and customer outcomes.
FCA Compliance
- Support the business in maintaining strong FCA regulatory standards and compliance procedures.
- Conduct internal reviews and compliance monitoring to ensure processes align with the FCA Handbook.
- Assist in preparing compliance reports and updates for senior management.
- Review and assess products and processes to ensure Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles are embedded across the organisation.
- Identify potential compliance risks and recommend corrective actions.
Operational & Team Support
- Provide compliance guidance to colleagues across the business.
- Support operational teams to ensure files and documentation meet regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate regulatory documentation and claims data.
- Assist with staff training and guidance on FCA regulations and best practice.
Experience
- Proven experience in claims management within insurance, legal, or property-related environments.
- Strong experience within a General Insurance compliance role.
- Excellent knowledge of FCA regulations and the FCA Handbook.
- Experience handling complex claims and regulatory matters.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret complex policy wording and explain it clearly to customers and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confident decision-maker who can handle challenging claims or compliance issues.
- Highly organised with strong administrative and IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Desirable
- ACII qualification or working towards it.
- Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
